Shipping and COD Charges Policy

This policy explains the shipping and Cash on Delivery (COD) charges on niram.in, and which of them are non-refundable. Please read it before you place your order.

These charges are refundable only in the cases listed under "When your charges will be refunded" below.
How COD works
- Choose Cash on Delivery at checkout.
- Pay ₹198 online (₹99 shipping charge + ₹99 COD charge) using UPI, card or net banking.
- Once this is received, your order is confirmed and sent for processing.
- When the order arrives, pay the order amount to the delivery partner.
Your COD order is confirmed only after the ₹198 is paid successfully. This amount is separate from the value of your products and is not deducted from the amount you pay on delivery.
What the charges cover
The ₹99 shipping charge covers the courier cost of delivering your order. The ₹99 COD charge covers the extra cost of offering Cash on Delivery: order verification, cash handling and collection by the courier, and the losses we take when COD orders are refused or left uncollected. Prepaid orders do not carry the COD charge.
Non-refundable charges
COD orders: the ₹198 (₹99 shipping + ₹99 COD charge) is non-refundable once your order has been dispatched (handed over to the courier) and any of these happens:
- The order is returned to us (RTO, Return to Origin) for any reason.
- You do not collect or accept the order at delivery.
- You refuse the delivery.
- You are unavailable or unreachable at the delivery address, and the courier's delivery attempts fail.
- You give an incorrect or incomplete address or phone number, and the delivery fails as a result.
- You do not pay the order amount when the order is delivered.
- You ask to cancel after the order has been dispatched.
Prepaid orders: the ₹99 shipping charge is non-refundable once your order has been dispatched and any of these happens:
- The order is returned to us (RTO, Return to Origin) for any reason.
- You refuse the delivery, do not collect the order, or are unreachable at the delivery address.
- You give an incorrect or incomplete address or phone number, and the delivery fails as a result.
- You ask to cancel after the order has been dispatched.
In these prepaid cases, the order amount is refunded to you and only the ₹99 shipping charge is kept.
When your charges will be refunded
You will get your shipping and COD charges back in these cases:
- You cancel the order before it is dispatched. Email us at hello@niram.in with your order number as early as possible. Once the order is dispatched and you have received the tracking details, this option no longer applies.
- We cancel your order because the product is out of stock or unavailable.
- Our delivery partner does not service your pincode and we cannot ship the order.
- We deliver a wrong, damaged or defective product. In this case we will refund the charges you paid online for that order along with the product amount, or replace the item at no extra charge.
- Your payment was charged more than once for the same order.
- Your payment was deducted but the order was not confirmed.
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days. Your bank or UPI app may take a little longer to show the credit.
Returns after delivery
If you accept your order and later want to return an eligible product, your request is handled under our Return and Refund Policy. The product amount is refunded as per that policy. The non-refundable charges described above (₹99 shipping for prepaid orders, ₹198 for COD orders) are not included in the refund.
Want to avoid the COD charge?
You can pay the full amount online (UPI, cards, net banking) at checkout. Prepaid orders do not carry the ₹99 COD charge.

By placing an order on niram.in, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this policy. If you choose Cash on Delivery, you also agree to pay the ₹198 online at checkout.
